I can't find anything in the manual but there must be some idle adjust screw on the IP.

If this is the full electronic pump then no, no screws at all... Idle on my '98 shows 630 (scangauge). I don't remember if any W210 had the carryover mechanical pump.

What is your idle speed?

I think the 96s still had the mechanical pump w/ ELR for idle control.

The pump is mechanical, but the rack modulator is completely electronic. The idle speed, and any other speed, is regulated by the computer. There is no adjustment.

My car "sounds" too slow in the cold, I believe due to the rubber mounts being cold and stiff. This transmits a lot of vibration to the chassis.

What are the indications your engine is idling too slow? Does the tach read around 600-650? I would think the ECU is always going to seek it's programmed idle speed regardless of the conditions.

I took this picture this morning:

Compare to what you're seeing on your car.
