(must be coming back from bingo ) It's in mint condition, and I wish I could "run into her" at the store or something and talk to her about it.

On another note, I also see a 560SEL AMG around that is all white, and has white AMG Penta's. An old woman also drives this car...which leads me to believe it's the real deal!

Here's a pic I tried to get before she took off:

I'm always amazed by how small the W126 looks out on the road surrounded by all the road-barges.....its insane. The W126 is a BIG car, but all the SUV's are BIG on a whole different level! People need to drive smaller cars.

daw_two-don't forget me!

I met David by him tracking me down in restaurant a couple of years back. We passed him on the street on the way to dinner w/ family (in our 300sdl) We sat down and not too much later, he found us at the table and introduced himself. Small world, met him again on forum about a year ago..GREAT resource!

Unfortunately for me a local nogoodnick has the exact same color 240D as me. I had to put out the word that he was the one with the missing left rear hubcap so people could distinguish between the two of us! Then just a few weeks ago I saw another less than upstanding citizen driving the exact twin to my wifes 300TD. I have offered to buy both of them if they ever want to sell. In a small town you are what you drive!

Yeah, but your car wasn't the same color as mine........then. I was in Elegant Madame, remember? It's too bad the Blue Plate closed --- they had the best Breakfast going in Bartlett.

I even have a pic someplace of Elegant Madame next to your car. As I recall, I noticed right away that your (wife's) 300SDL badges were the opposite of Elegant Madame.

Unlocked someone else's red SAAB 900 4 door auto, tan interior, just about the only other car in the parking lot at 2AM. Stuff on the dashboard didn't look right, so I tried the other one.

Many years ago i was service manager in a multi brand foreign car dealership in Albany N.Y. we had a customer drive off with another customers R10 Renault, both cars were in for service, both same color, both less than 6 months old. The guy didnt even realize he had the wrong car until we figured out who it might have been and called him,he had driven it home and never noticed. Don

There is a 300d in my neighbor hood that is all most identical to mine, same orange paint, matching hubcaps and black interior. If it were not for the euro bumpers and US sailing sticker on mine, you could not tell them apart.

At a resturaunt once - parked right next to him, even turning the front wheels to match his car. He was gone when I came out.
Once at a 4 way stop sign four cars each pulled to the stop sign at relatively the same time. 4 black benz's of varying models. All the drivers had a chuckle out of that.

On a trip to Sarasota, FL last year my wife and I got a kick out of parking next to and photographing every 300D we saw. One was the same color scheme but different year. There is an identical midnight blue 300D here in Athens (seeing it actually inspired us to get one that color), but whenever I see it I am in a different vehicle (or on a bike). Some day the two will cross paths.

Here's my CheapWagonClub entry and a friend's 300TD at the grand opening at her interior design studio.
