Custom TurboDiesel Chopper!
I just caught a few minutes of American Chopper/OCC where they where starting a custom bike powered by a turbo-charged, water cooled diesel engine as a promotional bike for a company called Monster Diesel. I couldn't see too much but here's a link to some pictures

Interesting...
Are the exhaust pipes really near the front / fuel tank? Whose idea was that? |

I saw that bike too. Pretty cool, though at times it seemed like an infomercial for the Monster Diesel additive.

Those may very well be the exhaust pipes. I was hoping not, but I suppose its true.
The OCC guys are great, but I'm not digging the design of that exhaust system. I suppose the engine configuration didn't leave too many options. |
Yeah, I have no clue. I'll watch the episode if it appears online. I'm pretty curious at this point.
I wouldn't like sucking fumes while riding a motorcycle...that's for sure... |
What an ugly engine, they should have dressed it up a bit. And exhaust in the face? Hmm...I do like diesel motorcycles though, I've seen a few. I think the only one that looked cool used a TDI engine but the thing was massive.

that is the exhaust, and i believe they said that the motor was out of a tractor of some sort. definitely a cool idea, but not a very thought through design.
