I need to get to work on this '93 300D I got recently so I got the following tools to start with:

A prechamber lock ring socket from Mercedes and made by Stahlwille for $22, a glow plug hole reamer from Mercedes for $73 and a prechamber remover from Zdmak off Ebay and made by SIR Tool for $47 delivered.

Prechamber remover? What the heck are you doing, rebuilding the engine?

That Reamer looks pretty sweet....but not worth $73! :eek:

The lock ring socket would be handy....

I can hear and feel by hand compression leaking out by the #3 injector so I assume the PC is loose as others here have suggested. Need to pull it out and clean it so it seats tight in the head.

Let us know how that goes. I've got a minor leak at the #1 prechamber (bubbles when wet). I'm kinda curious to see what needs to be done. Don't forget to remove the glow plug before removing the prechamber! :eek:

Those heat sheilds must wear over time, I've had some bubblers also.
