explain these euro lights to me

My euro 240D. I confess I don't really understand the difference between euro and U.S. lights beyond their outward appearance. Mine look identical from side to side, but I suspect one has been replaced. Front left is a Hella H4 and the other side is labeled Bosch.
Biggest concern for me is what happens when a bulb goes out. Are these items I can get easily at Napa, AZ etc. or should I be ordering spares for the eventual outage? Is changing easy? Where to find replacement bulbs if not easily available?
Any and all info is appreciated!

I don't know on the 240D, haven't had one myself, but on most round Euro lights they are accessible from the rear, remove the rubber dust-boot and un-clip the bulb to remove. Very simple, and should require only a minor adjustment when replaced unlike the replacement of a sealed-beam. Bulbs aren't that expensive either.

E-code lights throw the light on the road. U.S. DOT lights throw light up into the air. Go figure...

Changing the bulbs out is a cinch.

Standard H4 or 9003 bulbs, they're the same.

I forgot to add, here are the correct bulbs

There should be a gray plastic "door" on the backside with a metal wire running up/down on the inboard side of the headlight housing. This metal wire will unclip and the door will hinge off from the outboard side (you might have to remove your washer reservoir to access the driver's side). The H4 bulb will be held in by a retaining (can't remember if its a wire clip or plastic ring, forgive me). Remove and replace. Don't touch the glass part of the new bulb.
