What a great forum!!!!

Just a note to thank everyone on this site. I am the proud owner of my first Mercedes. It is a 1984 300 D turbo diesel. Ice blue with an immaculate, never smoked-in interior, and 244k miles. I have wanted this car for as long as I can remember, and came upon this one accidentally. When I asked the price, and was told $600, I bought it without even driving it. Anyway, I came upon this forum because i wanted to learn everything I could about this fantastic car. It started and ran flawlessly, but had very little power. After spending several hours reading posts on this forum, I checked the hose from the back of the intake to the little valve on the firewall, and sure enough. it was plugged. Then I removed the seal and adjusted the arenoid compensator, and hot damn!! I have power out the wazoo!! Now i REALLY love this car. Once again, just wanted to thank everyone that posted all of this great information, and i will be checking this site regularly. Pete miller.
