Red face Ol' Turbo and I are parting ways

I'm sure I'll regret it for the rest of my life too. I'm meeting Dave (aka hockeynut) in Kansas City tomorrow and he'll be taking my friend back to Wisconsin.

I'm not sure whether to document the event, as it would be similar to a funeral procession... only depressing to look back on.

you need to document the transition of ownership and the driveoff. I have those pics of Squash and I like having that record. He also went to a very good home. And local......

Buy it back 4 years from now???

You can always buy it back in a couple of years. There is a forum member that has done this feat --- naturally, his name escapes me.

I'd be sad if my SD and I had to part ways, but I'm going to drive it until it dissolves. So....no worries for me. It is my friend, I drive it almost 2 hours every day and it never lets me down.

I don't think so. Some cars you particularly bond with. Or at least some of us do.

Sorry you have to say goodbye Tyler ... at least Ol'Turbo is rolling on to a good home. Like daw said, maybe you'll meet again someday.

I think the only fitting final ritual would be to disconnect an oil cooler line to let it give a short liquid salute to your ownership.

I may be selling my 300cd to a rich old guy who wants to tow it behind his motorhome on a dolly. I've been approached a few times by people wanting to buy it and I might give in this time. Then I could upgrade to a 300td or 6.9.

You can't turn back time, but you can wind up the clock and start all over again.
