Vacuum pump
Looks like the "BTAP" brand I bought for $200 and installed in June 2008. It came in a box labeled "Germany" although I'm not convinced it was actually made there. It has a sealed bearing. So far it's given me no problems. The eBay item at $160 is about half the factory price. Most forum members do not wish to take a risk with something so critical.

What was your impression of the pump before you installed it? Were the parts machined to your expectations? etc...? |
