'87 300 TDT not starting - shut off solenoid?
I have an '87 300 TDT that is not starting. It had sat a few weeks and I got it started and had really weak power and then I had trouble getting it stopped.
Since then I have had trouble getting it started. I put some new fuel in it and have checked the glow plugs and checked some of the vacuum lines and replaced some of the rubber lines that were degraded. I thought possibly it was the shut off solenoid. Is it possible for the shut off solenoid to freeze in a shut or nearly shut position so that I cannot get the car started? Is there any way to test the shut off solenoid? Any other ideas? Thanks! |

Take a peek at the stop lever. If it goes up when you turn on the key the car should start.

It is going up. So this is moving based on the shut off solenoid correctly moving?
