coupe rear shock absorbers
Hello,
Can someone walk me through shock replacement on a w123 coupe rear end? Ive never done it. Thanks!

I've done this on a sedan. Remove the back seat back and plastic covers over the top of the shock. Loosen the top nuts, has two, a double nut affair.
Jack the car up, (the FSM doesn't mention this, but I could use the room to get a wrench on the bottom ones) I use the differential, the shock will stay bolted at the bottom and the shock will drop out of the top mount. ( If not jacked up, the shock will come out just fine) Remove the bottom two bolts, install the new one in reverse order. No need to remove the wheels.

Thanks for the replies! I've done it on the sedan before, I guess the question becomes if there are intricacies given the differences with the coupe body that I should be aware of. Thanks again!
