Damn thing's sold :(
The car's sold before I could try it out.
Called today to arrange a test run. Gone. 221 kms - new timing chain, rad etc. Sold for $4900 Cdn within 3 days on a single entry in Craigslist. Ah well, next time. Looks like I will be tackling the rear window project in the 300SD. |

The W126 was the first of such cars designed specifically to withstand demanding forces of offset crashes. It employed a high-stength steel safety cage with crumple zones at all corners of the car to absorb impact effectively distributing energy in the event of an unavoidable impact while maintaining rigidity to the passenger compartment. Here is an example of an extreme case...Listen to the narrative. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxMt7qmv9eU
