What are the pros and cons of a 1981 300D that has a 1982 300D Turbo diesel engine and transmission?

Other than not being original, anything that wouldn't be okay with the car?

I'm not sure about the the rear axle.

i think the 81 will be n/a and the 82 will be turbo stuff.

Yes it is Turbo.

The differential, aside from potentially having a different gear ratio shouldn't be an issue for durability or longevity as the differentials for most of this vintage Mercedes are interchangeable, particularly within the w123 chassis.
