Thumbs up Thanx Eric !

I'll send Tom a note just for grins ~ I buy fiddly stuff from him @ The Classic Center occasionally but it's often quite expen$ive , I can only imagine what a rebuilt OM617.952 engine will go for...

I'm just a Blue Collar Joe so every dime counts ~ this isn't my ' Hobby Car ' ~ this is MY CAR ! as in daily driver .

Hey Nate when you find out what the Classic Center quotes you for a OM617.952 engine let us know, inquiring minds want to know, but are to afraid to ask! I need a complete engine since my #5 rod dropped out of the bottom of the block I found a super low mileage 81,000, with 380's for compression, but it is on the east coast and they want $3,500 plus shipping... even thought my car is rust free and in very good condition (minus the engine) the most it would be worth running wound be $2,500 for a sedan.... only wished I bought a wagon or coupe! Love the car, but just cannot justify paying over $4,500 to replace the engine.

Thumbs up Dollar Value

I'll do just that !

I don't have the $ to even think about a rebuilt one but I will ask justincase ya know .

FWIW ; You could buy my NA 1980 Coupe ' On The Cheap ' ~ 90,000 miles and new paint , lotsa new & rebuilt things , you're close in and could bus/fly down and drive it home in 65* F ICE COLD R-12 AC ! for less than you'd think .

I really need to sell this car and am willing to take a bath on it at this point .

I need the $ to up fix my '84 Coupe's dead engine and SWMBO's new wagon .
