Broke the accelarator pedal?
Hello, wondering if anyone knows how to remove the accelarator pedal from a 1985 300TD. I have a 1988 420 sel parts car and am wondering if we could swap the pedal from that car over to the wagon. They look about the same. Problem happened when snow built up under the pedal and froze....broke the connection to the floor on the pedal?
I just can't see how to take the one off the parts car? Is there a clip I am missing? Thanks. |

Pedals are easy to swap....takes about 30 seconds. My dad just broke his on his SD....I'll have to order a couple....

call me stupid, but when you guys say accelerator pedal, are you talking about the plastic piece you press? or the actual accelerator bar that connects to the throttle linkage?

note...these instructions are for Mercedes cars and NOT usefull for Toyotas, aha I always wondered why Mercedes fixed the pedal to the floor like they did...guess you can't get floor mats stuck under our pedals. |

I think I've broken about 7 since I've owned my car, but I have a serious lead foot...
