300td Brake Master Question -gasket?

I have an '84 300td wagon (euro) and am rebuilding a leaky front caliper. I decided to pull the brake master to see if there is any leakage into the vacuum booster (none) but noticed that there is no gasket between the brake master and the vacuum booster. Is there supposed to be a gasket versus metal on metal? Any one know? Thanks!

Just replaced mine a week ago, 300TD euro and yes there was a rubber seal between the MC and the booster.

Part #004 997 32 45.
Can't tell you the size, but you should be able to get one that fits by measuring.

You can see the black rubber seal on this picture.

Thanks! I saw the o ring seal on mine and apparently that does the trick. I was thinking that there was a gasket too but apparently not-thanks!
