Found some of my crumple zones...

Well, I got to find out some of my crumple zones on my 84 SD...

Bus put out the "Stop" sign, vehicle that was in front slammed on breaks and my eldest couldn't stop in time.

We actually got off pretty easy....$350 in parts and I have to straighten the side to side cross member and I think we're in business.

Kid feels really bad...but she's safe so that's all that matters.

Stinks that it happened, but that is just about the best way to have a W126 hit something! Easiest to fix! Very lucky.

Looks like how I buy my diesels, pre-wrecked haha.

$350 isn't bad at all. May be worth finding a cheap frame guy to make sure that cross member pulls out straight. I've bought a few pre-rebuilt salvage cars that we re-did because the headlights never fit right.

I love it when my friends and relatives drive mb's. I got my friend to drive one, and his dad, my dad now drives a 300CD and my brother is currently driving my dads other CD, my uncle is driving a wagon and my other brother also wants me to get him one. The theory is that everyone drives one and I'm everyone's mechanic, and were all driving safe cars

Good to hear your Daughter is OK.

Too bad you are so far away, there is a 84SD in one of our PNP`s, same color. Side swiped on the the right, 172k.

No injuries is the best part but I don't think you are into any structural damage.

Sure would like to get moving on fixing but its difficult during Easter week...so much going on....

It's a good thing I work out of the house and don't have a commute.

Sure wish I could get that one in Cali in the PNP...but alas...

She and I will have a good time putting this one back together....as prep for getting the Model A running and driving again....She even has her own box of small gloves to use.
