1986 250D fuel filter change
Hello all...I recently picked up a 1986 250 diesel and am going to put a new fuel filter on it as it's due to oil change/air filter change/fuel filter change. I've never owned a diesel nor done a fuel filter change, but understand they are a good idea to do to keep the car running smooth.
If you've ever had an experience with removing/replacing the fuel filter in 1986 MB diesel, any advice would be appreciated! Danke!

The fuel filter replacement method is well documented on here, do a search.
The most important things are to make sure the motor is warm when you do it so it is easy to start after & make sure you fill the new filter with fuel before you put it on as the motor has no primer pump. It may take a bit of cranking to get it going after. How about putting some details in your signature so we know a bit about your car as well as where you are located. Good Luck !!

250D eh? now, you may not know this, but it's required for all members to post pictures of their vehicles.
your low post count indicates you may be unaware of this really undocumented requirement, but it's there nonetheless. so post them pics. take some good underhood shots as well. interior, and exterior shots are also needed. then upload the pics to photobucket.com or some favorite pic host, and paste the IMG links here on this thread!
