Angry Water leak. 300TD (video)

I am having some trouble with a leak coming from the front passenger side.
The water is coming from the side panel at knee level. Next to the heater fan.
I used a small camera to find the source and it is coming from the windshield bottom right corner area/ top side of hood hinge pocket. The windshield seal looks pretty good so I don't know.... Here is a video of what I found. The quality is far from perfect, but I was thinking that someone might recognize the leak pattern. You'll see in the video a small white plastic tab near the source, would be great if someone could tell me what is this tab for so that I could pinpoint the leak a bit better.

Thanks

It sounds like you inspected the area where the hood hinge lives, have you taken the battery and battery tray out to look underneath? Pretty common spot for these cars to rust. Best of luck. Bill

Yes I checked the battery area. Looks good there. The thing is the water is coming from above the battery tray/drain elevation.

It sounds like you have the same problem as do I and I'm beginning to think I need to have the windshield replaced (mine's cracked anyway). I'm watching this thread with interest.
