Rear Suspension part ID help?

Driving to work this morning I had a rough grinding noise for about 100 yards and then this fell out onto the road, from the rear...maybe passenger side? I can't get under the car at the moment so just curious if anyone can ID by the photo?

Grinding noise stopped after this fell out, BTW.
Thanks, and sorry if it's an easy answer.

Looks like this (the second one):
http://www.*********.com/catalog/1979/mercedes/240d/suspension/sway_bar_link.html

Sway Bar link...but without the ball joints on either side.

Well, if it's the "z" link, it's a simple procedure, crawl up under there, swap out the part, it'll be obvious.
