ADA and idle vacuum
Morning,
I think the big round thing is the ADA, and to the right of that is where a vacuum that I took out goes. I tuned the ADA slightly, and took off the idle vacuum that screws in at the top of the IP. Will the slight turn of the ADA, and not getting the idle vacuum screwed back to its original position (it has a lock nut to adjust how far you screw it in) affect the idle, and power loss of my car. Thanks. Hugh Sr 1984 190d (W201/601) |

Vacuum has nothing to do with power loss. Unless the throttle linkage is getting jammed or something, move it with your hand and see.

I understand an ADA to be a manually adjusted ALDA.
