anyone know how I can do this? I replaced the illumination lamps with wedge-base LED's from ledlights.com, rigged the cluster back up, and nothing. a little reading and I realized that they are polarity sensitive. Before I pull the thing back out I was wondering if there is any way I can verify I have them installed the right way before I put the cluster back in? Of course it could all be that stupid rheostat -- I tried to jumper it but I couldn't get the solder to stick?
Minor successes:
Replace the clock capacitors, clock works now!
Re-stuck the metal buttons that had fallen off two of the instruments
Minor failures:
Repainted needles. They came out really poorly. I'm going to have to try it again at some point, but I'm not looking forward to it.
