Autopal h4 round conversion headlamps: rusty within 2 years
Hey so a couple of years back I read this thread and picked up a set of these $25 Autopal h4 7" round conversion headlamps. Easy to install. I am not sure about the "flat" look compared to the domed look, but oh well.
Now a couple of years into them and they've got a good bit of rust in the bottom half of the reflectors. Anyone having a similar experience? I hate to go back to sealed beams and am thinking about the Hella or Cibie E-code products. -Chuck

I have no such issues with my Hella's, you have a boot on the back, right?

Good question about the rubber boot... will verify that! But yes in New England, I spend probably half of my "car maintenance" time just beating back the road salt cancer.

Well... If it makes you feel any better I have a Bosch Ecode on my BMW R90 that is only a few years old and it is needing to be replaced because it has a hole rusted through the bottom of the reflector. But, then again we live near the ocean...
