126 headliner woes

Im sure its been discuseed here before but i cant find it so maybe a link...

the sunroof in my SDL is stuck closed (except for the drivers rear corner, car wash is fun ) and i can hear the motor/cable moving in both directions but the roof does nothing. anyways, im installing a hard wire kit for my radar detector and gps and wish to run the wires under the headliner panel the the visors and dome lite is attached to, how do i remove this panel? i took the visors off but cant find out how to remove the mirror and dome lite. it apprears as tho the sunroof needs to open to remove the small screws holding the chromed metal piece which appears to hold this panel i want to remove. anyone know what all has to come out to remove this headliner piece?

I had a similar problem with my W116. The sunroof cable was broken and the sunroof would not slide back, so I could not remove the panel. I ended up cutting the headliner and manually moved the sunroof back.

That was all part of a complete restoration, so I wasn't that worried about it. Headliner material is cheap.
