Spring pad replacement in place
Hello,
I searched but didnt find what I was looking for. I think the rear on my cd is a tiny bit low. I'd like to replace the spring pads (likely tired) as a first try. Between front end alignment (toe can effect front ride height I found from searching), new diff mount, etc., I still want to get the rear up a tiny bit to look right to me (and possibly take the front down a bit too). My main concern is safety. If I rented a spring compressor from AZ or equivalent, could I do at least the upper rear pads in place? Im thinking minimal effort as a first approach. If it goes to messing with springs anything beyond that, Ill take it to the shop who has the tools and experience - safety first... But if I can compress just a bit, keep the springs in place, and just slide out and replace the pad, that would be great. Is that possible, particularly on the rear? Thanks!

The AZ spring compressor sucks, but the rear springs don't need as much pressure as front ones. I'd go for it.

I suspect that a micrometer would be required to discern the difference!!!
