300D Driveshaft Center Bearing Alignment?

Hello Diesel Merc Experts!

During my 300D resurection I replace the B2 piston in the Trans to be able to get to it I disconnected the driveline at the front flex disc and unbolted the center bearing support so I could let the trans hang down far enough. Ever since I bolted everything back together I have noticed a slight vibration from the driveline while on the freeway.

My Question is.. What is the proper procedure for aligning the center bearing support when bolting it back in place? I can see there is room for adjustment on either side and they bolt through metal blocks that look as though you might use them to set it straight? .. Anyone know the proper way to make sure its aligned perfectly? I have a new pair of flex discs I am going to put on .. although the ones on there look ok... and while im swapping them out I was goingto try and re - align the center bearing...

any tops would be greatly appreciated ... thanks!!!!!

I did the ctr bearing support last week on my TD and I just bolted it up where it wanted to be, In other words, with flex couplings all secure, just bolt up the ctr support. your sure the rubber of the support was not ripped? Its hard to see sometimes.

Did you separate the front and rear driveshaft sections? If so, you should have marked them so that they were not rotated and then rejoined. If you did, there are knots on the joints that can indicate how they are to be reconnected. Refer to the FSM for details.

If you didn't separate the sections then you should not have a vibration. If you still do, post that as the situation. There is a trick that will sometimes correct this situation.
