Seriously though, part of the cluster has a reflection on it, this could easily be why different needles look different, but do inspect them when you get there in person.
I don't believe that someone should automatically assume the cluster has been switched out. Some of the needles on the gauges in my car are faded more than others. But they have never been swaped out. Just my .02 cents.

Well, got the VIN ran a carfax and had some major issues, looks like it was totaled and given a salvage title, so not taking a chance...I'll just keep looking. thanks all.

AAAAAAHHHHH!
wow, go carfax!
I'd love that interior, but 3900 for a possible junker is a coin toss...

Salvage titles can be a good thing. If the car was repaired properly you can use it as a bargaining chip to get the price down (or ask for the price to come down).

Yeah, i've had my share of crappy cars in the past, I just don't really want to take a chance with this one....I shot them an email to see what they have to say about it, so we'll see.

If it is a dealer, forget about it. If it is an individual selling it, then it may be worth pursuing.

With a salvage title, assuimng everything works fine, I would say the car is closer to a $2500-$2900 car. But again, just my opinion.

It would be interesting to see when it got it`s Salvage title.
the older these cars get, it takes less to get it a salvage title. just a fender bender.

If it recieved the title early in it`s life, then it would have been a more sever accident to recieve same. iam pretty sure when it was new, and worth 30 or 40k, a fender bender wouldn`t give it a salvage title.
