'87 SDL injectors torque - double checking...

I thought the torque values for the injectors on my 300SDL is 55ft-lbs but I just set the torque wrench to those values and it seems pretty 'loose' - could someone verify it for me - don't wanna mess it up...

Just looked it up in the on-line manual - says 70-80Nm... which I believe translates to 59ft-lb - it just seems light... I thought someone else said that you need to torque it down until it sqeeks, but I could be wrong.
