1985 300CD Blue 145k~

There's a 1985 300CD sitting in the Germantown, MD Home Depot parking lot with a "For Sale" sign on it.

Paint looks decent, and I've talked with the owner before. He's an interesting character but seemed like a decent guy. If anyone is interested I'll check out the price and mileage. Last time I was by the paint looked pretty good still, dirty bundts and I've never checked the interior.

nice, an 85 coupe. get us some pics, and it'll be gone in a week.
unless the owner has done no maintenance, and he wants 15K for it of course...
condition (no rust@@@!!!) interior, maintenance, and overall condition very important. all that said, I'd love an 85 coupe!

No price, just a phone number.
WDBAB53AXFA223795

The good:
-mileage 144,056 miles
-bundts have no road rash
-star is old wide-base (I'd almost want to ask him for that alone)

The decent:
-no interior rips noticed
-light interior
-paint has splotches
-only one wood trim piece missing

The bad:
-Rusted rear driver's wheel well and jacking point
-dented fuel door area
-rusted passenger fender under bumper
-dented rear fender behind passenger's rear wheel
-weird corrosion/moisture on bottom of rear windscreen

more pics

Passenger's rear wheel well

Driver's rear wheel well

Passenger's front wheel well

Driver's front wheel well (sorry, no flash+dark+crouching=fuzzy pic)

Drivers door jam dent. Yes it goes through the paint.

Under passengers front bumper. (And yes I see the oil)

I thought it was a dent, but it may be that way on coupes. I didn't see any cracking of paint, so either it belongs or was painted over.

That fuel flap thing is on my coupe too. Seems to be coupe only as none of my sedans have had it. Still is tough to open the fuel flap though...

Looks more or less like mine, except for the rust...

yeah, it's sad to see a good car with rust.
anybody wanna call and offer him 800? it'd b a great parts car.
if it has that rust, I bet the hood spring pockets are gone, and the car has issues you can't see.

My 82 Coupe has that same thing going on with the back window. I think it has separated somehow and allowed moisture to get in there?

The rear window is delaminating...common problem on older Benzes.
