Need correct bolt size for water pump ('81 300D)

I'm getting ready to change out my formerly leaking water pump this weekend, and I want to get new bolts to put back in when I install the new one. I figure grade 8 is good enough, but does anybody know the correct size bolts before I get it apart? I'd like to go down to the local Fastenal supplier and get the right ones, seeing as how this is a holiday weekend. I don't want to get it apart and then not have what I need in advance. Thanks.

I believe they are 10mm head (12?) and you can get them probably at Ace Hardware.

EPC (http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/ for your free subscription) shows that all five (5) N 914141 006300 are M6x30 mm. I'd suggest at least "grade" 8.8, but 10.9 would be better.

That's what I love about this forum! I appreciate both replies. I knew the head was 10mm, but I needed the length and thread type. Otherwise I would pull it, then have to drive to Farmington, 7 miles away. Now I can have them ready. Thanks again!

If the head is 10mm it is most likely a M6x1.0 - if it were a 13mm head, then it would be a M8x1.25. Grades in metric 8.8 ~ grade 5, 10.9 ~ grade 8.
