What's your long weekend MB project?

I am bleeding the brakes and replacing the belts on the 220d.

i am doing a cooling system acid flush, followed by replacing all hoses and pulling the radiator and ac condensor and blowing them out. Finishing with fresh zerex g05.

Then, I can start gathering parts for the ac revamp.

Bank-Holiday here on Monday so no work till Tuesday!

I plan to carry on with the installation of re-built 617 into 280TE wagon. Engine and trans is in, need to fit drive-shaft, exhaust, all electricals, radiator, all pipeworks and other stuff...

Must remember to drain the petrol outta the tank and remove the petrol fuel pump too.....!

Find transmission leak. Decide to pull or not. Run various vacuum tests. Get parts order decided or at least narrowed down.

Check sailboat for leaks - much more critical than transmission leaks since it is now back in the water. Go for 1st shakedown sail after being on a trailer for 2 yrs.

Continue to test the vacuum system for my door locks. So far the electrical pump is fine and looks brand spanking new; the trunk and fuel cap units are fine too. The electrical switch in the driver's door is not working for some reason and there's a leak somewhere between the electrical pump and the doors units, so I'm tackling that next. And if I have the time, readjust my loose center console.

Cool oh, the list just keeps getting longer!

firstly, I'm changing the trans mount in my 82SD, then, swapping the door panels on it, and maybe swapping the front seats from an sdl in there... not likely because of the wiring hurdles.
anyway, THEN I'm gonna put in my 87 the VP from my 93 and hopefully not find a bad pump ramp while I;m in there, THEN, I'm gonna start on the viscus fan clutch change on the 87 and see about replacing all the vacuum hoses. oh, did I mention I'm gonna drive up to asheville and inspect/purchase the ebay 83SD that you guys posted about the million mile myth... it's mine.
that ought to keep me busy until monday... and I'll rest maybe then...

get #4 injector hard line from dealer on Sat. (hopefully it comes in)

install that and hope that "fixes" what I though was a timing issue after IP install

I cut to length all chrome pieces that go on side of car (most 300SDL's have a pinstripe or nothing)
mine had a dealer installed door guard that looked like crap after 24 years

after I pulled that off it took some clearcoat with it so I bought a chrome half round stripe to put on
