'82 240D Anyway to fix this?
Here's a picture (thanks to DMorrison) of the black tab/bracket that the A/C temperature wheel sits in. Some previous owner of my 240D broke it and now my temperature wheel just floats behind the dash.
Anyone know how to fix this? Do I have to get a whole new center console? Thanks -Kurt

I don't know what material the bracket is made of, but if it is ABS plastic like so many of the parts on these cars then you could probably repair it with some black ABS cement and some scrap ABS to re-enforce it. I did this recently on the map pocket on my drivers side door. I user an old computer case bezel for re-enforcement. So far (knock-on-wood) it has been pretty strong after curing. I let it sit for several days prior to putting it back on.
