Bio-Diesel Tax Credit up for renewal before Senate Ag Committee.
I've got BAD news for anybody CONUS based.
The Bio-Diesel Tax Credit is up for renewal before the Senate Ag committee Today (?) (This Week). Apparently, Somehow due to a Legal Loophole in the Statute, the Paper Mill Industry has been "Robbing" the "Bio-Diesel Tax Credits" kitty by qualifying the "Black Liquor" remainder of the paper making process under the current law. ['Got to LOVE those Corporate Lawyers that come up with all this Hooliganism] And the Senators are trying to close the loophole. (With an Outrageous amount of Push Back from Paper Industry Lobby) So,if you've got a couple of minutes Tonight ,shoot off an e-mail to your U.S. Senator showing your support for the Bio-Diesel Tax Credit. We've lost our 5% Bio-Diesel "Lubricity Improvement,Gratis" from our regional supplier who used the BD Tax Credits to offset the added cost of adding BD to the ULSD.

In other words, the paper folks are trying to take the BD folk's corporate welfare check?

Well....
Craig,
The Corn folks (Ethanol) have already got the "Lion's Share" of all the "Energy Tax Credits". There are Phalanxes of Scheißen Sie Kopfs Lawyers in Lobbyists offices writing laws ,that are then presented to "Captive" (Spelled "Bought and Sold") legislators for enactment in Congress. These little "Mordidas" are built into each Statute for the Group paying the Lobby. Ethanol ain't doing NOTHING except subsidizing the Corn lobby. Bio-Diesel does make up for the Substantial Lubricity Loss inherent in the USLD process. (On top of all this, Detroit and Houston are doing all in their power to Kill the Bio-Diesel initiative.) The Toilet Paper Makers, already cannot carry all the money they make to the banks in Zurich fast enough. They deserve a Tax Break like, when Hell freezes over.
