Installing another oil pressure gauge

Since our oil pressure gauge goes up to 3 bars (42 psi) I was wanting to install an electric gauge that can read up 7 bars (around 100 psi) and that has an low pressure alarm. So my question where dose one install the oil pressure sending unit??

Below is my thread on installing a Low Oil Pressure Alarm. For me the Oil Filter Top/Lid was the easiest place to drill and tap. However, you need to look at the inside of the Lid before you drill so you do not drill into one of the Aluminum Casting Webs.

The othe way would be to find a way to "T" into the Oil Pressure Gauge Tubing or the Electric Sending Unit if you have a atock Electric Oil Pressure Gague.

I tapped 2 holes because I was curious about just how mucn Oil Pressure there was an where that Oil Pressure was. (Ounce you have the correct sized drill and Tap out you might as well do it at one time; also I put the cap in a Lathe I have so it got drilled dead center.)

Also I had planned on installing a Bypass Oil Filter and that I installed that in the center which draws Oil after it has gone through the Bypass Section of the Stock Oil filter and from there it goes through a hose to another lower Micron Filter and after that my original setup dumped the return Oil down the Dip Stick; later I found a better.

I have a thread from over 1 year ago with pics on the Bypass Oil Filter installation.

I found it! Note to myself; keep a record of the Threads that I start so you do not have to look for them later!

Bypass Oil Filter Setup, 617.952
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=215593&highlight=Bypass+Oil+Filter+Setup%2C+617.952

Not shown is that I have changed where the Oil Outlet goes into the Engine.
There is a Bolt that goes into the Engine Block to the Driverside of the Engine Timer. It is just a Bolt throug the Block I guess limit the Timing Chain from hitting the Block incase it is loose.
Anyway I got another bolt the same size and drilled and tapped it for a Fitting and hooked the Oil Retun Host to that.
Now I can check my Oil with out haveing to remove the Hose on the original setup.
