Intermittant blower problem

Hello,
I've recently replaced my lower a/c hose near the front of the car (83 300D) and had the system recharged with r134. A/C has been working very well until the last 2 days. On my morning commute to work, if I have the blower fan set to low or auto, the blower will turn on for a few seconds and then turn back off. This has repeated itself throughout the drive. It seems to stay on if I use the high setting. I don't recall having a problem in the afternoon when the car is very hot. I know that my hose needs to be replaced to the sensor in the dash. Would this have any impact on this problem and why? Any other ideas on what to check? Thanks!!

Just discovered I have a coolant leak which has been slow but steady over the past few days. I'm going to replace the hose, refill and recheck for the problem. I'll bet that may have something to do with it.

its probable your fan blower regulator is going bad.

I had a very similar problem in my w124.

It nay be the brushes, but when they get real low, they'll draw more amperage and you'll start blowing fuses, but it should be easy enough to pull it and check.
The other thing that comes to mind is a failing CCU, cold solders.
