W124 aux. fan in EPC?
I cannot find the (single) aux fan as used in my 1987 300D Turbo (W124, OM603) in EPC. Anyone know which section it might be located under? A search of this forum brings up either too much or too little.

what are you trying to find in the EPC on it?

Well, I looked and looked for you, but I'm no parts expert. Near as I can tell it keeps referring to 'standard fische' code 580/581. I could not find any auxilliary fans.
If you can find that designation it will be under engine cooling, ac related parts.

Thanks, I finally found it under "50 Radiator," "015 Radiator, mounting and covering." The original part number of this "blower" is 000 500 50 93, which was replaced by 000 500 79 93. It is used in various versions of the 107, 116, 124, 126, and 201 models, most of which I'll never see (example: 450SEL 6.9). However, it is used in the 300E, which is common in my local junkyard, and the 300TE, which is less common. [Later 300Es (VIN 906405 and higher) use 000 500 71 93, which may not interchange.] The 190E 2.3 is also a user of this part
