AC not cold...
But blows coolish/lukewarm. It's 95 or 100 out and it's not blowing hot air. I just got my 82 240D a few weeks ago...can I use one of those ac recharge things that you can get at PepBoys, etc. to put off the inevitable, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Search search search!
There's SO much info on the boards about A/C it makes my head spin...that's where I'd start.
DON'T use the Pep Boy's "answers"! Your car, if it hasn't been converted to 134a, runs w/R-12 refrigerant. While R-12 has been replaced due to environmental concerns it's a much better refrigerant and you can service existing R-12 systems....again, hit the search button and plan on reading a LOT. I'm currently diagnosing my system and it's unbelievable the information that's on the forum. |

I agree with Owner's comments, lots to find here, but if you still need help with your car, post what itis, what year, and what refrigerant is in the car. does the compressor engage? what temps are on the lines while it's running, and any other information you have on the problem.
