What is this? How do I fix it?
Can someone help me out and tell me what this is and how to fix it?
What is the name of the part to order? This comes out of the firewall and connects to the accelerator linkages It looks like it is trying to bend the linkages The rubber pieces do not look like they are attached to anything Behind the triangular piece is a round gromet? It spins freely not sure if this is supposed to do that

DD need it to go to work monday
I have a 1980 I can get parts from..need to know if the 1980 will have the same part..or go to dealer? Or how to rig to make it work for a few extra days

The heat right now is just awful...maybe that is a factor
20 plus years in florida 10 in south florida 10+ in North florida Never remember the heat index getting over 110 for more than a day or so It has been hitting 105-110 for a few weeks

"newtodiesel"... The one that is on your car is the newer style. The one in the bottom photo up above.
Edit: The one for the 1980 300D shows both parts listed above. So, you will have to "look at the part" to identify which one you are pulling. It is very easy to distinguish the 2 parts. But, you need to "look" at them.
