E300 Not Starting after repositioning vacuum lines

The car won't start now..just cranks and cranks, sometimes sounding like it is about to start...I think the battery is almost dead too.

I just repositioned the vacuum lines coming in/out of the transducers and replaced the MAF. After I did this, the car was running strong and "Check" engine light did not come back (i was getting Code P0243 before) BUT it was hesitating a little bit at low speeds.

So I thought it must be a loose vacuum hose - but trying to make it perfect has apparently made it worse as now it won't start. I'm thinking it's time to replace the vacuum lines or some of them anyway....hummm, thanks

Take a close look at your clear plastic fuel lines. You may have bumped one in your repair process and caused an air leak. This leak can cause the car to lose prime and become VERY hard to start. The plastic lines and associated O rings are very finicky about such things. Don't forget the O rings at the pre-filter (which is NOT a standard size O ring) and the one behind the shut off valve.

RUNNING!

Pre fuel filter was not positioned properly...it blew out of position a little when I was giving it the Italian Tuneup....

So I just gunned it around the block - really thought I had the PO243 code resolved, etc... she was running like GOLD

...then boom my CHECK engine light is back on....so taking her to the Indy to read the Code (probably P0243 again) and get some motor mounts.

Nice that she is RUNNING...and will resolve this PO243 code eventually, maybe.
