Manual Primer Pump/Leaking IP
 

I got rid of the screw on fuel filter weeping fuel ( thanks Bob and all) but today when driving home I smelled fuel. I popped the hood and there was some fuel seeping along the bottom edge of the IP where ( from above) it looks like it is coming from the mating surface at the bottom of the IP where the lower surface screws ? Into the main body of the IP. That said just forward of that is the manual primer pump. I am hoping it is the primer pump weeping fuel and not the IP. Anyway I will have the car on a lift in the next day or 2 and see what it is. Any thoughts ?

Check the crush washer under the primer pump.
I replaced my old pump with new style and after a short time I got some weeping. I bought another new pump thinking that the first was defective,
When I pulled the 2nd pump I discovered that I had either damaged or failed to replaced the crush washer.:D

Thanks, I think I will do the pump anyway since I am replacing all rubber fuel lines and O rings where needed.

Clean and degreas the area and see where the leak is.

If you have an MW Fuel Injection Pump do not loosen the 13 or 14mm Nuts (2 Nuts per each Element) that hold the Fuel Elements into the Fuel Injecion Pump Housing; that is how the set the Fuel amount when the Fuel Injection Pump is on the Test Stand.

Check for leaks around the Delivery Valve Holder (the part you remove to take out the Delivery Valve Springs when you Drip Time). Some times they develop a crack down by the threads or I have also seen the Crush Washer eaten through by the high pressure Fuel (on other Bosch fuel Injection Pumps).
If it is an M Pump they have an O-ring as well as a Crush Washer.

Also there are Crush Wahers on the Banjo Bolts of the Fuel Inlet and the IP Overflow/Pressure Valve and I suppose the Plastic tubing itself could crack.

These attachments may help.
Metal crush washers, or seal rings, don't just start leaking, but they are a one time use item.
The plastic fuel lines may present an issue.

Have you tried tightening it up?
