I've successfully repaired bad grid elements with a product similar to the Frost Fighter. This was for a scratch through the element though, not corrosion.

Yes, Permatex sells their version of the Liquid Grid Repair. If someone wants to see a picture of it with the Permatex Part number it used to show up on amazone dot com.
