PS 300cd glass wont operate

I have been having to rotate the fuse when i open the hood to shut it off- to get the switch to kick in, and the window has been slower than DS -the DS rear also is non working. Anyway yesterday it wouldnt do anything. I gathered all the red fuses I could and also a sharp pointer router bit. I cleaned the terminals--and when I touched the router bit to the top ds part of the contact to the hood hinge pocket with the router bit i get spark-- replaced with a good BRASS used fuse---still no oporation?? Since ds rear and the pass front -its not the switches--what else do I have to do-I know--its simple stuff.

fuses control diagonal sets of windows. ds front and ps rear same fuse. and vice versa.
I'm not sure what the problem is. can you elaborate for us?

sounds like a burned wire, or a bad relay. do you have a haynes manual, it'll show where the relays are I bet, in the electrical section.

Is the relay the big square black block directly in front of the shifter when the console is removed, with the -"medusa" of mating snakes wiring- all around it? I got it still on the other 85 parts car-I didn't have the right torx bit to remove it.

I believe the relay would be in that black box under hood.

A silver ice cube looking thing, part #001 542 22 19.

Other threads indicate the window relay is behind the instrument cluster-mines an 85-besides the fact that only two diagonal windows aren't working so it shouldn't be a relay anyway since there's only one for all windows.
Im thinking its water spilled got into rear switch on console.

--Does anyone know what the button between the console switches on DS does?

It may be, but that's the part number, MB uses that same relay for numerous functions.

And I think it's good too.

If you're referring to the movable button/knob on the center console between the window switches, that is for the passenger side rear view mirror.

The blue arrows are pointing to it, the red circle is the rear window lock out button.

You may want to pull and clean the switches.

The button in the red circle?

That, as mentioned, is the rear power window lockout switch to keep folks in the back from operating their windows.
