MY drifting Wagon video! 1987 300TDT

Thought I would do this for kicks and cause I do not have a video of my wagon up yet. Removing that ALDA sure does produce a lot of smoke when I get on it! Yes, it is actually on dirt but it is the best I can do for now...

Drifting? When I was young it was called a power slide. And on dirt makes it pretty ball-less.
I won't comment on the stupidity of such endeavors. No offense....
What I will comment on is something else I noticed in the video. When the wagon first pulled into the frame, I know I only counted one "T" on the rear badge......

Nice looking wagon. Quit trying to tear it up......

No offense taken. Surprisingly I was actually reverse steering a lot. It does not take much on dirt as one mentioned. But in the cab there was a lot going on, it just didn't translate to the video for some reason. Please note the humor im the title: "Drifting"

As for the badge...you should know that the technical name for the wagon is TDT, so that is how I put mine in posts. Lighten up guys...I know some of you are purists so you probably will hate me more when I hit 300HP :-)

Fear not though, I'm not a little kid ricing out my car. You should be able to tell that I have taste by the way my car looks and my other listed vehicles.

My 240D can drift in dirt.
That sums it up pretty well.

Should I post a video doing a burnout on gravel? I can do some mean 360s on ice too.

Your badge IS the technical name. Do you want to believe the car, or some paper work????

TDT is the casual name for it around parts suppliers to easily differentiate between turbo and non-turbo models when the year may be unknown. For everywhere else, especially enthusiast forums, they know year is what determines the engine type.

All 1979-80 300TD are non-turbo.
All 1981-85 300TD are turbo.
All 1987 300TD are turbo.

That works for the limited model range sold in the US. Some Diesel models, particularly 124s, had normally aspirated and turbocharged models offered simultaneously. e.g., 250D and 250D turbo, 300D and 300D turbo. Who knows if SOHC and DOHC versions of the same displacement were offered simultaneously as well.

How many unidentified euros have been around here? Usually owners will identify their vehicle as a euro, mention they're outside the USA or say its non-turbo in the case of normally turbo models.
