Resolution to cold start dilemma.
The 240D brooded for 13 hours in cold temperatures from 50 to 22...he sat there. Cold. The morning came. 38 degree ambient temperature. New Mobil fuel in place. He is glowed. The idle is turned up. The relay clunks. I turn him, and he fires on second "chuh" of the starter! Perfection. He came to idle perfectlym without shaking before getting there. It was the bad fuel. Thanks for all your help guys.
