power loss and limping mode
i have a g400 cdi
while driving at 60mph suddennly the car lost all power rpms would not go above 2000 rpm and lost the turbo boost sound . it went into limp mode . i shut off the car and restarted it worked well for about two minutes and then again it went into limp mode could it be the maf sensors ? or fuel problems any ideas accepted |

You must connect a diagnostic scan tool to check stored engine codes.
Without codes = guessing could cost you $8000.00 in parts/labor and still not repair the problem. The G400 CDI engine is known for having vacuum and fuel related issues, this can be the injectors or the high pressure rail system. These engines are very sensitive to fuel quality. now i know you know a lot i posted this same message in mb forum stating how much i had spent up to now and you were right on the spot . the thread you sent me explains exactly all the issues i've been having i will get the error codes later today and send them to you at this moment i will start limping for 60 miles to get to my friends shop, oncwe i get the codes i will post them |
Whatever happened. WHat was the cause and remedy? I would appreciate hearing about it.
