Is there any way to fix this? 1985 300TDT

Hello,
This part/piece rusted out over the weekend. Hit a little bump, and crack off. Luckily it was pulling into a driveway and did not get too scary. But, as I pulled it into traffic, and hit the brakes, scary.

Anyhow, let me know if you can replace the torsion bar/sway bar or whatever this is called, or if the old beauty is toast.

Thanks, James

There is a repair kit available. I believe Fastlane can get it. You cut off the bad stuff there and slip a new end over it and weld it in place.

EDIT: Here's the link:

O wow - nice photographs - I bet that was scary. X2 on the repair kit but I've never tried it.

The kit is meant to allow you to repair the old rather than removing and replacing, as to remove the front anti-roll bar (as I call it!) you need to remove quite a lot of stuff in the engine bay. For example the battery and the battery tray - the master brake cylinder and the brake booster.

I've got my engine out at the moment and my front wings are off too - so if you need any photographs I can make some for you...
