220d starving for fuel
I have a 71 220 that is starving for fuel. I replaced the primer because the old one was leaking. It idles fine and takes off ok but after a bit it acts like its running out of fuel. If I wait a bit, it seems to work again for a few minutes then starts dying again. Could this be bad injectors or a bad injector pump?

have you changed all filters and made sure no air is getting into line, have you tried to run it directly from bottle of diesel, maybe clogged tank screen as well.i would start with simple stuff first.

It acts like it is pulling air from somewhere but I cant find any leaks. Any common areas these things suck air from?

Air leaks.Always use german hose clamps on fuel lines.Make sure clamped hose cannot twist on metal tubing.American hose clamps or chinese can be used on radiator hoses, they are better. But not on fuel lines as they tend to bite the hose.

Make sure your tank vent is clean.
The tank strainer should be cleaned as well. Is the problem there with a full tank?
