Another Fun Day At PNP`s 1/3 Off sale

Went by PNP today, 1/3 off sale. they have 5 W123. 2 240D, 81 & 82, 2 300D, 77 & 79. And one 78 300cd.

Pulled the rear progressive springs off the CD, and looks like it just might have a crack free "Blue Dash".

Found newer Annular axle. had that thing out in 40 min. took me longer because someone pulled the engine and dropped the driveline, and the park brake was disconnected. finally jambed a screwdriver in a lug bolt hole to secure it.

Found a set of Wheel covers in the trunk of one.

The 77 300D has dark brown seats with good covers and bunny ear head rests. anyone looking for a set of these?

The 81 240 looked to have been taken care of, clean engine bay and engine. 236k. was thinking of removing eng and trans for a spare, kick my self later on if I don`t.

there is one 72 250C with a decent set of Euro bumpers. at least they aren`t dented up, chrome is a little dull, also has a set of 2 huge carburators on the engine. for the age wasn`t in too bad of shape.

OK Charlie, you are corning the market on progressive springs. What is that... 3 pairs you have now? I might have to take a set off your hands next weekend!

And get that blue dash!

, right, three sets in my grubby little hands. actually 4 sets if you count the set under the 85.

Iam going back in the morning and take a closer look at the Blue dash, and if good will pull it.

Going to PNP is my therapy session .

I hear you on that!
I didn't get to go yesterday; wife had to go to the office
so
I got the kids.

That was good therapy, too.

Today I went back, and I now have in my posession, a W123 Blue Crack free Dash. this is the first dash I have come across that is totally crack free.

I also removed the visors, they are in good condition. not sure what the color is, sort of a white.

Removed the fuel injectors also.

I can see why the 300CD was in the yard. # 1 Rod was sticking out the left side of the block. Don`t see this very often.

Pulled the dash from a 81 240D that at first was crack free, then noticed very small short cracks along the defrosters. not sure If I`ll bring it home, but still in good condition.

Tomarrow Iam pulling the Heat/AC box out, thinking of putting it in the 85 300D to simplify things.

They sure charge for the vacuum door actuators, $12.99. I pulled one of the old style with the double diaphrams. our 80 240 uses these. think new they are $129.31 on AllPartsExpress

That is a large difference from the later style

this one is $31.00. Both do the same thing.
