Injector Miss Question/Moly Lubro Diesel Purge

About 10,000 miles ago, I decided to go ahead and use the bosio injector nozzles that I had purchased previously for my '82 300sd OM617. They were properly shimmed and adjusted by Pacific Fuel Injection and installed properly with new heat shields. Lately, I have been experiencing a miss at idle after car has reached operating temperature and will experience lots of shaking at idle or coasting up to a stop -car idles perfect when cold, motor mounts are new and rack damper is adjusted properly also. Is it possible for an injector to behave this way when warm and has anyone ever cured a mis firing injector with diesel purge? This one has me stumped! Thanks!

I would check the valve clearances before anything with your complaint.

2nd on the Valve adjustment.

I had a small Air leak at my Fuel Inlet Hoses that only showed up with the Engine was warmed up. The Hoses were hard and had lost their elasticity; clamps were tight but when the Engine was hot they somehow allowed Air to seep in.

Anyway, replacing about $3 of regular 5/16" ID Fuel Hose at the Auto Parts place fixed it.

Also are you using Diesel or an alternative Fuel?

Search "rack damper", you may find similar issues there.

Crack each hardline open one at a time and see if one of them has no effect, then you will pinpoint the weak hole. You can then swap injectors to another hole and see if the problem moves. If so, you will know it is the injector. If not, you can check to see if the IP is delivering fuel to that injector or if maybe the hole has weak compression.

I once had a 240D with a misfire that was caused by the DV being loose on the IP. After isolating it to one hole I tightened up the delivery valve cap and instantly the engine smoothed out. Sometimes it can be something incredibly simple.
