Differences 1977 300D US vs. UK/Euro Engines

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge regarding differences between US and UK/Euro 300D diesel engines? I am comparing 1977 300D's, W123 body style. On the outside it looks like the York AC bracket, alternator bracket, power steering bracket, engine mounts, water pump, etc. etc. are the same as far as mounting position/configuration to the block. What I want to know is if the crankshaft is the same, rods the same, pistons the same, auto trans bolt holes/pattern are the same, flywheel same, etc. etc.? The official M-B service manual does not list any differences for the crank, pistons, rods, cam, rocker arms, flywheel, etc., etc. (although I have found wrong info in the M-B manual before). Only difference mentioned is that the hex head cylinder head bolts on some versions need to be retorqued, but not others. No mention in the M-B manual about auto trans mounting holes/pattern, engine mounts, etc.
As far as I can tell, there are no differences. However, I may be wrong and would appreciate info from anyone who knows.

Thanks,
Tom
