Rear dif 240d

So, I've searched through the past threads... Probably not using the correct terms.

Is there any fluid to change out in the rear dif on my 240d? I'm betting there is... What type? Where is the plug?

I'm also betting mine has never been changed.

thanks,
kat

Yes. On the bottom. Gear oil. Make sure you loosen the fill plug before removing the drain plug.

Like Kerry said crack loose the fill plug first. Then take out the drain plug. That way you don't end up with an empty pumpkin and no way to fill it.
